Who will like it
This is a dark and rich blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah and small amounts of other unspecified reds. This is a wine for those who like the bigger and bolder side of red wines. Deep ruby in the glass, it is packed with rich flavors of blackberry, black pepper, licorice and vanilla.

Why we are highlighting this wine
The first wine Dave Phinney made under the Orin Swift label was a Zinfandel blend called The Prisoner, which was received with high acclaim and became one of the most popular Zin blends on the market. When he sold the rights to that wine to a group now called The Prisoner Wine Company 9 years ago, Phinney signed an 8-year non-compete on Zinfandel wines. That agreement has now expired and Phinney is back with his first new Zin blend. Wine consumers love this new wine. On the consumer rating app Vivino, it has a score of 4.4 out of 5, putting it in the top 1% of all wines in the world on the app. Raters on Cellartracker gave the limited release version 94 points and the full release version now in the stores 91 points.
